Welcome to JMK!Registration
The first thing you need to do is to register.
1. Go to the Student Union's room on the 4th floor and pay a fee of 200 kr. In order to write exams and get grades this fee has to be paid. After paying the fee you will receive a recite with your name and a stamp from the Student Union. At the beginning of the term the Student Union is open daily from around 9:00 am- 16:00 pm.
2. Take your recite up to the 5th floor and register at "Student Expeditionen". You will then receive a second stamp and the school will register you.
Bonus
As a bonus all students at JMK get a free subscription of Dagens Nyheter (one of Sweden's largest morning papers)and season tickets which can be borrowed by all students to daily performances at Dramatan (one of Stockholm's biggest theaters).

May 25 -the student union presents; Viggo CavlingViggo Cavling is the editor-in-cheif for "Resumé" and will hold a lecture at JMK on tuesday the 25 between 13:00-15:00, the audience are asked to bring pen and papper to the lecture
May 20 -JMK spring term "dinner"
tickets for the dinner are availble at the student union exepdition for 200 kr
April 28th -kick off Pub
Wednesday the 28th its time to kick off Journalist students without borders (http://utangranser.org/), Journalists students without borders and the student union wishes you all a warm welcome. The kick off will start with a lecture on interview technique by Swedish media profile Björn Häger at 15 p.m. and will continue through the evening with JMK: Pub which opens right after the lecture. All of Stockholm’s journalist students have been invited, so you'll have the changes to meet and get to know the students at Södertörn och Poppius!

April 7th - Easter Pub
It is finally getting warmer in Stockholm! We'll celebrate with cheap beer and great company at JMK. Come and meet old and new friends in the cafeteria from 6pm - 1am.

Do you have any ideas, thoughts or opinions you would like to share with the Student Union? Come, talk and drink coffe with us from 4 pm in room 1.

Radio JMK sends every tuesday between 8 pm- 9pm on station 95.3Mhz

JMK offers a wide range of activities in which all students can get involved. Participating in the school newspaper, radio, TV or football team gives you an opportunity to get to know other students, learn more about media production and is even a chance to get work experience. If you want to get involved or have questions about any activity- come by the student union and we will help you!Femte Statsmakten
Femte Statsmakten is the students' own newspaper at JMK. The newspaper is part of the student union but functions as a free-standing authority which reviews both the student union and the institution. The newspaper can be found on the web: www.femtestatsmakten.se. The content is foremost relevant and of interest for the students at JMK but the newspaper is even read by other students and young journalists. Femte Statsmakten even aims to give the students journalistic experience. Everyone who studies at JMK and is a member of the student union is free to join to Femte Statsmakten and either write, photograph, illustrate or become an editor.
Radio JMK
Radio JMK is the school radio program which sends every Tuesday from 20.00 to 21:00 on the radio frequency 95,3 Mhz. At the moment there are between 10-15 students involved in the activity who work in three shifts. Each program normaly revolves around one subject. Some examples from the last season are love, TV and long jump. The studio is situated in the student union house at KTH and at JMK. All editing is done in the computer program Pro-Tools which you get a chance to learn. You can learn more about Radio JMK and listen to previous shows at their webpage: http://radiojmk.blogspot.com .
JMK TV
Do you want to be part of the new JMK TV- editorial staff? JMK TV welcomes new members who are intressted in filming, editing, fixing interviews or just brainstorming new ideas. Getting involved in the school TV even gives you an opportunity to learn the film editing program Final Cut Pro. No previous experience is needed. JMK Junited
The football team JMK Junited is a team with both new and old students from JMK playing in the student series through Stockholms Students Sport Association (SSIF). Everyone studying at JMK is welcome to come and practice every Wednesday between 16:30 – 17:30 at Frescatihallen, metro station Universitetet. The team plays games at home in black shirts and games away in white shirts. You can join the Facebook group “JMK Junited” to learn more about the team and get information about the series this semester.
